Systems that make your journey as pleasant as possible

The new M class offers a high degree of comfort and possibilities. Even on longer journeys and in rough terrain, the passengers are pampered with well-thought-out features. These include excellent air conditioning, the optional air suspension and the ergonomically formed seats.

KEYLESS-GO drive authorisation system (optional) KEYLESS GO is an electronic drive authorisation system. The driver does not need a key to unlock or start the vehicle. The driver need only carry the KEYLESS GO transponder and pull the door handle. Simply pressing the start/stop button starts the car.
THERMATIC automatic climate control THERMATIC automatic climate control provides individual temperatures and a pleasant climate in the vehicle interior. The desired temperature and air distribution for the left and right-hand sides of the interior can separately regulated for the two zones. In addition, a special filter ensures optimum air quality by absorbing dust particles from the outside air.
THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control (optional) The THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control system allows the driver and front passenger to adapt the climate in their respective seats to suit their individual requirements. The system keeps the temperature at the desired level automatically, even in strong sunlight. To this end, sensors register the temperature inside and outside the vehicle, controlling the heating, cooling and fan for each temperature zone individually, according to requirements. To suit every taste: There are three climate styles (DIFFUSE, MEDIUM and FOCUS) available for selection in automatic mode. You can use these styles to adjust the interior climate to your individual preferences. Factors such as outside temperature, humidity and insolation are taken into account. A diffuser panel on the dashboard reduces draughts. Clean air: Dust and noxious-gas sensors guarantee that virtually all the pollutants remain outside. If required the air vents can close automatically. Pleasant climate in the second row as well: Passengers in the rear seats have the option of individually controlling the climate control for the rear area: intensity, direction and desired temperature can be conveniently set at the push of a button.
Memory package (optional) The memory package makes frequent change of drivers much easier. It stores the individual settings for the driver’s seat, steering wheel and exterior mirrors for up to three people. As soon as a driver selects a setting with the touch of a button, electric controls automatically set the seat, exterior mirrors and steering column back to the previously saved positions. The package also includes 4-way lumbar support on the driver’s and front-passenger side, exterior mirrors with parking position and automatic positioning of the front-passenger seat in PRE-SAFE® situations.
Multifunction steering wheel The driver needs to have everything within easy reach. That is why the M-Class comes equipped with a high-quality multifunction steering wheel. So you can always keep your hands on the wheel for the most important everyday functions and stay focused on the road. The 4-spoke nappa leather steering wheel, fitted as standard, has 12 function buttons which allow drivers to access all the key information and functions that they need on the road. They can for example easily control the volume of audio devices (available as an option). Other control buttons on the multifunction steering wheel can be used to call up information on the instrument cluster or make settings. Mobile phones can also be operated via the multifunction steering wheel. All the necessary information is shown on the central multifunction display.
Panoramic sliding sunroof (optional) In the panoramic sliding sunroof with an optimised net wind deflector the large glass windows provide the best visibility and light possible and a more generous spacious feeling in all the seats. Well ventilated: When the roof is open the interior can be supplied with fresh air according to your individual wishes by using the various opening positions. Keeping the sun out: Two rollerblinds in the appointments colour can simultaneously be closed using one-touch control if the sun is shining in too brightly. Simple operation: The automatic re-opening function for both the glass unit and for the roller blind improves operating safety.
Climatised seats (optional) The climatised seats improve ride comfort and reduce transpiration with a pleasant air flow and the selectable seat heating. Integrated in the seat upholstery are fans which uniformly distribute a flow of air in three intensity levels under the leather cover of the backrest and cushions. The air flows through the fine perforation and quickly cools down the surface of the seats to a pleasant temperature – even if the vehicle has been heated by an intense amount of sunlight for a longer period of time. On cold days you can turn on the three-level adjustable seat heating.
